This past Saturday my daughter was here so we decided to pull our rag top for it’s first cruise. This would be the maiden voyage as a family so we hopped in and headed out to Pasadena. The funny part is the car still looks like hell. Primered front end, light rust and scratch everywhere else, and the interior is pretty much just seats and visors (as removed the junk yards). We didn’t care, we were just happy to be enjoying the sunshine with the top down and the cool breeze blowing. The dust that kicked up from in the car wasn’t cool, but that’s why we were wearing sunglasses. Even in the ‘out of the back lot’ condition of the car, people still threw us the big thumbs up and cruising through the upscale peep’s we could hear, “that’s a 67”, “I love old cars”, and “that’s awesome.” The time together was more than I could ask for, and the approval of on lookers was a bonus.
